Internal Candidate Posting Policy
Eligibility
At the time of formally applying, internal employees must be:
- In their current role for a minimum of 1 year
- In good performance standing – not under a performance management plan
- No disciplinary action in the last 6 months
(Exceptions to this to this will only be made with the manager and Human Resource’s approval.)
Process
To formally apply for a position:
- Employees should be communicating their interest to their current manager at time of application – but they will not be able to formally interview with the hiring manager until the current manager is notified by the employee that an interview has been scheduled.
- Should an employee be chosen as the top candidate, it is expected that the hiring manager will reach out to the current manager for feedback.
Transitioning to a new role:
- Once an offer has been accepted, the transition plan will be developed between the hiring manager and the current manager in a timely manner.
